We developed a new line of unique innovative lunch containers to solve the common complaints of existing containers including broken hinges, microwave damage, and dishwasher safe cleaning. Below showcases the different steps, designs and proto types that evolved into what is now our Food Cube™.

Slow-Release Hinge Concept A
Following the initial phase of concept designs, we focused on creating a safe and effective slow-release hinge to help the lids open and close slowly. Concept A centered around an Automatic Pull to open system that when released, the gasket spring returns to its natural position.
Slow-Release Hinge Concept B
Concept B centered around an Automatic Push to open system that when released, the gasket spring returns to its natural position.
Concept Direction
Our Food Box went through 4 rounds of design direction in which we tried varying sizes, designs and components such as with and without dividers, shelf trays, and removable containers.
3D CAD Lunch Box Model
Once we were able to narrow down or design and vision, we were able to create a 3D model to better visualize the Food Box and how we could further improve it.
Rendering of Final Concept
The final stage was bringing the product to life digitally in a 3D scene to make sure we created the best product we could before moving on to manufacturing.
